Sad to know that Professor John C. Hull, Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto, died on January 31, 2026. He was an internationally recognized authority on derivatives and risk management.
John was a brilliant teacher and researcher. He taught and worked on derivative finance and risk management in his whole life. His book on derivatives is a masterpiece for MS/MBA Finance courses. He also developed short rate model of interest rate called Hull-White model.
He will be deeply missed.
